Heavy hitter from Danske Bank is new Head of Capital Markets

On 1st of November 2020, Flemming Buhl took up the position as Head of Capital Markets in Denmark’s largest chain of real estate agents EDC Poul Erik Bech. He comes from a position as Real Estate Director in Danske Bank, where he was employed for nearly 35 years.

Poul Erik Bech says: “We’re very pleased that we have landed such a heavy hitter as Flemming Buhl, who has become a partner and co-owner. Nearly two years ago we established our international department, which is an independent and dedicated department that has been a great success. We are now also establishing a separate Capital Markets department, which will enable us to provide even greater support for our large-scale transactions. We’re doing this to streamline our work with and to focus further on our growing Capital Markets area, and we see a tremendous potential in Flemming Buhl heading the department in close collaboration with our 18 commercial property centres.”

Further development of Capital Markets

Flemming Buhl was Director of Danske Leasing A/S and Real Estate Director in Danske Bank’s leasing company with responsibility for sales and purchases of commercial properties with a total property portfolio of DKK 6 billion. He says:

For the past 20 years, I’ve worked with building up and developing a significant property portfolio. I’ve concluded a significant number of property transactions, due diligence processes and negotiations on both the purchases and sales sides. With my solid financial knowledge, my experience with property transactions and my broad network, I’m certain that we can further strengthen the Capital Markets area.”
