The Danish Business Authority is the authority responsible for the real estate agency industry. ‘Ejendomsmaegler’ (real estate agent) is a protected title, for which reason it may only be used by persons registered in the Danish Business Authority’s register of real estate agents. Real estate agents have taken out a liability and guarantee insurance that applies to the sale and purchase of real estate worldwide. The insurance was taken out with Tryg through the Danish Association of Chartered Estate Agents, the real estate agents’ trade organisation.
